Alinia Follow-Up

We found a source for Alinia online for an amazing price...it arrived this morning and I'm anxious to find out how it works for me. The pills are huge and bright yellow, but I suppose that adds to the party mix I'm currently taking. :)
Bryan compared a lot of different websites, but the one that we found to be best was progressiverx.com. They had the best price. We were ecstatic to find what we needed for $208 for a two month supply. We are hoping against hope that this medication will be effective, since it is a much more plausible option for us than Mepron.

You have to have a valid prescription from your doctor, and they require that you scan & fax or email it to them before they send your order, but they were very helpful and we got the order fairly quick. FYI, this was possible for us because my doctor allows for generic substitutions when she writes her Rx's. Basically, I had a prescription plus one refill. We ordered and paid for both the initial Rx and the refill. They sent us the initial Rx amount and will send the refill at the appropriate time.

The package arrived today from a guy in India, (I'm not gonna ask any questions...it's the right medication in the right dose.) If you're reading this and you have Lyme disease, you already understand to what lengths you are willing to go to find things that will work that are still financially available to you...if you don't have Lyme and you think I'm crazy, I'm OK with that. So...I will take my first dose this afternoon and keep you posted on how it all works for me.

  1. I am sorry to say that if you got alinia for $208 for 2 months then I would suspect that most of it is fake. It cost roughly $255 for a two week supply of 500 mg , 2 tablets taken per day.

I would strongly say, that if this alinia has some fake tablets then the chances of getting rid of the lyme is low and you may make it resistant.

Unfortuantly Alinia is expensive and cost around 800 for 30 tablets. However, if you can get on a drug study then the price comes down considerable...

best of luck.. but I would not be taking these tablets...

  2. There are a number of good manufacturers in India for nitazoxanide. Yes there are probably some questionable ones as well, but they want you to return and buy again; so they have incentive to deliver a product that works. India's controversial patent laws allow them to ignore many patents on pharmaceuticals and produce them without paying a license fee. The ethics are complex and this naturally has good effects(for poor patients) and bad effects (for investors and companies)potentially stiffling ROI and innovation. http://www.drugsupdate.com/brand/showavailablebrands/352

Please provide updates on your observations with Alinia. Thanks

    1. The Alinia worked great for me. We knew it was a risk; but at some point you have to take a few educated risks during this entire process. It's also risky to get on a drug study. We would do this again if we had to.

  3. Did you have good results with the Nizonide? I have recently acquired identical-looking tablets and am reeling from headache and dizziness side effects. Was the drug effective?

    1. I had great results. You do have to be careful when going this route, and you could also just be allergic to certain drugs. There were a few things over the course of my treatment that I had to quit because I just could not tolerate them. I hope you got it worked out and that you are well on your way to healing.

  4. Hi there-
My husband was just prescribed Alinia for his Lyme... and it's too expensive for us as well. Did the source you bought this from end up working out? Do you think it was a quality, legitimate place to buy from?
    Thanks!

    1. We had a great experience with this, and I would do it again. I hope things are progressing with your husband's path to health, this is such a difficult process.

  5. I am from India and India has many reputable and trustable pharma companies. The prices here are much cheaper, because patent laws are not that strong over here and moreover govt regulates prices of many medicines so the poor can afford them. Recently, the govt slashed the price of a cancer drug which Novartis was selling by 1/10 !! USA is a loot !!

  6. Thank you so much for sharing. Every bit of information you can get on Lyme treatment is helpful. Please share http://www.lymeclinics.com It would be great if you could share your blog articles (perhaps a snippet and a link) so that people can be blessed and helped by your experience (I've had Lyme since 2007, and it took way too long to get treatment.)
